Powerful Earthquake in Kamchatka Triggers Nearly 130 Aftershocks

More than 130 aftershocks have been recorded in Kamchatka following a powerful earthquake near its shores within 12 hours. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Kamchatka No. 1." The publication notes that the magnitude of the aftershocks reached up to 6.3.

“Some aftershocks were felt in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, with a magnitude of three to four. The underground tremors are continuing; another 10 have been recorded in the last hour,” the statement mentioned.

Recall that an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.7 occurred in Kamchatka. The epicenter was located 161 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 32 km.
