Armenian Doctor Assists in Childbirth During Powerful Earthquake in Kamchatka
An Armenian doctor in Kamchatka showed exceptional composure during a powerful earthquake, successfully assisting in the delivery of a child. This was reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
During the incident, obstetrician-gynecologist Mher Adamyan was present, along with a 14-year-old mother, her own mother, and an anesthesiologist. The medical team acted confidently, calming the frightened pregnant woman as the room began to shake and helping her manage the contractions that coincided with the earthquake's most intense moments.
The delivery went well. At 12:20 local time, a healthy girl weighing 2,950 grams was born, and she has been named Evelina.
The family plans to appeal to local authorities to nominate the doctors for a state award.
It is worth noting that an earthquake measuring 8.7 on the Richter scale was recorded near the shores of Kamchatka.
