Georgia Denies Reports of Disruptions in Customs Control System
In Georgia, all customs procedures are being carried out smoothly, and customs officers maintain constant communication with their counterparts in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. This information was provided by the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
Previously, Georgian media reported disruptions in the operation of the customs control system across the country. The Revenue Service has refuted this information.
"All procedures for customs control on individuals crossing the state border, as well as for the import and export of goods, are being conducted without interruption," the agency clarified.
Furthermore, to ensure uninterrupted operation around the clock, the number of customs officers has been increased at all border points of the country.
In order to jointly manage the flows of exports and imports through Georgia, employees of the Revenue Service are in close contact with the customs services of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
