Trump Forces Europe to Buy American Energy for 3 Years

Trump is forcing Europe to purchase American energy for three years, according to a report by Axios. The EU will overall buy $750 billion worth of oil and liquefied natural gas.

The details of the trade agreement were announced by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. She stated that the deal will help the EU reduce its purchases of Russian oil and gas.

“We are still receiving far too much Russian liquefied natural gas, which is coming in through the back door... into the European Union,” she said, also referencing the continued supplies of oil.
