Tehran Continues to Support Peace Process Between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Baghaei

The representative of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, has stated that Tehran continues to support the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and encourages both sides to expedite the signing of a peace agreement.

He emphasized that Iran has a positive attitude towards the development of communication routes in the region but warned, “The development of routes should not lead to changes in the geopolitical map of the region or the involvement of non-regional players, which we do not consider beneficial for the security and stability of the region.”

The official added that reports about the involvement of certain non-regional countries have already been denied.
