Putin and Trump Meeting in China Cannot Be Ruled Out, Peskov

“Putin himself has mentioned that he plans to visit China. If it happens that the President of the United States also decides to visit China at that time, then, of course, such a meeting cannot be theoretically ruled out if the leaders of the two countries find themselves in the same city,” said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, to reporters.

He also emphasized that there are currently no specific steps or agreements in preparation for such a meeting.

Regarding the conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Peskov noted that there is no such arrangement in Putin's agenda yet: “At this moment, there is no conversation planned between Putin and Erdoğan, but we can coordinate contacts with our Turkish partners at a high level literally within a few hours. Therefore, when the need arises, such a conversation can take place quickly. The Turkish president has expressed political will, but there are no specific agreements yet,” Peskov said.
