Iran Executes Two Opposition Activists
The Young Journalists Club agency reports that two members of the Iranian opposition group, the People's Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI), were executed this morning. The executed men were involved in the production of hand grenade launchers and mortars for "blind" attacks on civilian populations and infrastructure.
According to the report, Mehdi Hasani, known as Fardin, and Behruz Ehsani-Islamloo, known as Behzad, were agents of the PMOI terrorist group who carried out the attacks and were hanged after a trial this morning.
It is noted that after their arrest, firearms, ammunition, equipment for making explosives, and disguises were confiscated from the group's members.
The PMOI has played a significant role during the Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War. This leftist radical movement has fought against the Islamic Republic of Iran since the Islamic Revolution and the rise to power of Ayatollah Khamenei.
