Strong Winds Cause 33 Emergency Incidents in Regions and Yerevan

On July 25, starting from 20:30, the National Crisis Management Center and regional crisis management centers received reports of incidents caused by wind and rain. Trees were uprooted, roofing sheets were damaged, window panes were broken, electric poles and wires were burnt, basements were flooded, and vehicles were blocked in rainwater in the Shirak, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Ararat regions, and the city of Yerevan. Emergency rescue assistance was required.

Rescue workers performed tasks including cutting and removing fallen trees, dismantling loosened roofing sheets, retrieving blocked vehicles, draining water, and establishing boundaries. A total of 33 emergency incidents were recorded as a result of the strong winds: 26 in Yerevan, 1 in Shirak, 3 in Kotayk, 2 in Gegharkunik, and 1 in Ararat.
