Zakhrova on the Resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
The West is attempting to remove the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations from the regional context. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakhrova, during a press briefing.
“Under the guise of Brussels' good intentions, this is purely an opportunistic issue. The West aims to shift the reconciliation process between Baku and Yerevan into their own stream, once again declaring political successes,” Zakhrova said.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that in the meantime, the two countries of the South Caucasus are trying to independently reach constructive, consensus decisions with the support of their closest neighbors (Russia, Iran, Turkey), alongside whom they will coexist and who have repeatedly contributed to their reconciliation or the resolution of acute conflict situations.
