33 Deaths from Traffic Incidents from January 1 to July 1

From January 1 to July 1, 2025, there were 526 traffic incident cases registered in Armenia, resulting in 33 fatalities and 536 individuals sustaining injuries of varying degrees. Four of the incidents occurred at pedestrian crossings.

It is important to remember that even when crossing at pedestrian crossings, one should avoid using headphones, phones, and other devices that may distract attention.

The Deputy Chief of Police, Arman Chilingaryan, stated that violators who evade traffic rules—such as crossing the road in non-designated areas and ignoring signals from traffic lights or officers—may face administrative penalties.

From January 1 to July 1 of this year, 3,112 pedestrians were fined for crossing in non-allowable areas. Rushing can cost lives; the police urge individuals to cross at designated points.
