Israel Strikes Gaza: Children Among the Dead

As a result of an Israeli strike on Gaza, children delivering water have lost their lives. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have acknowledged their mistake.

An Israeli missile fell near a water supply point in the central Gaza area of Nusseirat, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 Palestinians, six of whom are children. The IDF stated that they had planned to strike a member of the Islamic Jihad in the area, but due to a malfunction, the missile veered off course and struck dozens of meters away from the intended target.

"The Israel Defense Forces regrets every strike against innocent civilians," the IDF said, adding that the incident is under investigation. The IDF also mentioned that it is aware of the "allegations of casualties in the area due to the strike" and emphasized its efforts to "avoid civilian casualties as much as possible and regrets any harm done to innocent civilians."
