Russia Ready for Zelensky-Putin Meeting When Ukraine Surrenders
Putin will agree to meet with Zelensky only if Ukraine capitulates.
Negotiations between delegations yield no results. Russian leader Vladimir Putin is prepared to personally meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky only on the condition that Ukraine surrenders. This was stated by Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia in an interview with The Kyiv Independent.
The diplomat noted that there is room for internal dialogue within the Ukrainian delegation regarding the exchange of opinions on possible negotiations with Russia, while the Kremlin maintains a strict vertical of subordination—Putin decides everything there.
They openly say, “No, first you accept our demands for capitulation, and only then will we organize a meeting of the leaders.” And after that, you work on fulfilling these demands,” Kyslytsia said.
