If Russia Attacks Any NATO Country, Germany Will Respond

German troops will be prepared to kill Russian soldiers if Russia attacks any NATO country, says Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

“I have always been convinced that if you want to talk about peace and de-escalation on equal terms, you can only do so from a position of strength,” he said in an interview with the Financial Times.

Pistorius emphasized that this stance is “not to scare anyone, but to clarify: we know what we are capable of. We want to live peacefully with you, but do not think that we are weak or unable to defend ourselves.”
