Hundreds of Shots Fired at Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia NPP Overnight: Grossi
Hundreds of shots were fired at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) overnight, reported Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
On Sunday night, IAEA employees at the Zaporizhzhia NPP recorded “several hundred” gunshots around 10:00 PM, an incident that lasted for approximately one hour, according to Grossi's statement.
He described the incident as an “unusual phenomenon” and emphasized that such military actions near nuclear facilities are unacceptable.
During the morning inspection, specialists discovered numerous shell casings near the 5th and 6th reactors; however, no signs of damage to the infrastructure were found. The IAEA has requested additional information regarding the incident.
