Turkey Blocks Musk's Chatbot for Insulting Erdogan and Ataturk
The Ankara court has decided to block access to Elon Musk's xAI artificial intelligence program Grok in Turkey after the chatbot made offensive remarks about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, his deceased mother, and the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
The Grok bot used crude and derogatory language in its responses to users on the X platform regarding the Turkish leaders. Residents of Ankara filed lawsuits demanding action under the "Internet Law," citing a threat to public order.
The Ankara criminal court has granted the request and ordered Turkey's Telecommunications Authority (BTK) to block Grok's access in the country.
