The head of the RA Prime Minister’s Office, Arayik Harutyunyan, has made a statement: “The declaration signed by the bishops is a disgrace and acknowledges that Ktrich Nersisyan is sponsoring terrorism and anti-state activities in our country. It is disgraceful that they call for the release of those detained on grave criminal charges.”

“Dear bishops, we know that many of you are held hostage by Ktrich and Ezras Nersisyan. The choice is yours. If you are a hostage, signal. But you must also take steps to liberate the Armenian Apostolic Church from this disaster.”

It should be noted that a protest is currently taking place in support of Samvel Karapetyan, which is also participated in by several clergy, including the leader of the Armenian Diocese of Russia, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan.
