Bagrat's Recordings Are Not Edited, Says Investigative Committee
The spokesperson of the Investigative Committee, Kima Avdalyan, stated on her Facebook page that the committee refutes the information circulated today in the media that part of the conversation presented in the charges against Bishop Bagrat is edited and taken out of context.
The Investigative Committee also demands that the source of the news, the "Hraparak" newspaper, publish a denial.
"We officially clarify that there is absolutely no conversation about drugs or individuals distributing them in the recorded conversation," the statement reads.
Recall that the "Hraparak" newspaper claimed in a publication this morning at 08:15 that a conversation of Vazgen Galstanyan about 'shooting under the wall' pertains to drug dealers. It stated that it is clearly audible in the entire recording that the discussion involves drug addicts and drug sellers, referred to as 'barigs', who are destroying our nation, and that the bishop remarked, 'Let's shoot them under the wall, their families will be happy too.'
Earlier, we reported that Bishop Bagrat admitted in court that the recordings are real.
