I Didn't Know Whether Seyran Ohanyan Was Involved or Not: Artsvik Minasyan

Today, at the National Assembly, Artsvik Minasyan, a deputy from the "Hayastan" faction, addressed the motion to strip him of his immunity. He particularly mentioned that either the Prosecutor General was misinformed, or he did not conduct a proper investigation.

“He says, why didn’t you mention that there’s an illegal construction there. For two reasons: first, if I had mentioned it, it would imply that I recognize that construction, and second, I would limit future competitors. Yes, the purpose of that competition was to proceed with the construction permit process according to the investment program, and as a result of that construction permission, there would also be a demolition process and alignment,” said Minasyan.

He emphasized that not only did he not know who had built in that area, but moreover, he did not know whether Seyran Ohanyan was involved or not. “I only stated that according to the information I received, it is being used by Mr. Ohanyan. By the way, that fact is also noted in their testimony. The person does not deny it,” Minasyan added.
