Russian Ambassador Summoned to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan, Mikhail Evdokimov, has been summoned to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During a meeting with Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, a complaint was raised with the Russian side regarding unfriendly actions and steps that harm relations between the two countries. The Russian side was again deeply concerned about the death of our two compatriots and the serious injuries they sustained during the searches conducted by Russian law enforcement agencies at the residences of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg on June 27.

It was emphasized that the explanation from the Russian side regarding the incident is contradictory, given the presence of gross traces of violence on the bodies of the deceased compatriots and expert opinions.
