Investigation Started into Properties Linked to Former NSS Director
The Anti-Corruption Civil Court has initiated proceedings on June 26 regarding the confiscation of illegal property belonging to relatives and associates of former National Security Service (NSS) Director, General Carlos Petrosyan, at the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the Anti-Corruption Court.
The respondents in the proceedings include former Deputy Foreign Minister and former ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Avet Adonts, who is Petrosyan's brother-in-law, as well as his two sons, one of whom, Narek Adonts, is the husband of Kairlen Petrosyan's daughter, Astghik Petrosyan, along with several other individuals.
It is noteworthy that Carlos Petrosyan served as the director of the National Security Service of Armenia from January 1, 2003, to November 5, 2004. Before that, he held the position of Minister of National Security of Armenia from November 13, 1999, to December 31, 2002.
