Cousin of Assad Arrested in Syria

Syria's security forces have successfully arrested Basshar al-Assad's cousin, Waseem al-Assad, while he was attempting to flee to Lebanon in the Homs region, reports Syria.tv.

The security forces managed to lure him into an organized ambush, resulting in his arrest without resistance.

Waseem al-Assad is considered one of the most notorious drug traffickers and has been linked to several crimes during Assad's regime.
