Azerbaijani Who Called for Peace Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison

Azerbaijani activist Bahruz Samedov has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in Baku on charges of treason. Samedov is alleged to have collaborated with Armenian intelligence services.

It is worth noting that Bahruz Samedov is a PhD student at Charles University in Prague and a journalist, known for criticizing the Baku regime and advocating for peace in the region. However, according to the Baku regime, such advocacy can only be undertaken by an Armenian spy. A 15-year sentence has been handed down to deter others from criticizing or calling for peace.
