Gas Tariff for Consumers Will Remain Unchanged
At today's meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, the tariffs for the supply and distribution of natural gas have been reviewed. The new tariffs will come into effect on August 1, 2025.
Gazprom Armenia has agreed to the revised tariff calculations. During the meeting, no objections were raised against the proposed changes, despite the fact that the company will incur a certain loss of revenue as a result of the revisions.
According to the commission's decision, the service tariff for gas supply provided by Gazprom Armenia has been set at 23,533 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters, down from the current 24,042 AMD. The gas distribution tariff is now 14,989 AMD, reduced from 19,664 AMD.
These changes will have no impact on consumers. The gas tariff for consumers will remain unchanged. The recalculated new tariff will be valid until August 1, 2026. A new recalculation will take place next July.
Meanwhile, the gas price in the Armenian market will remain unchanged. It is worth noting that the last increase in the gas tariff for consumers in Armenia occurred on April 1, 2022, when it went up by 4.7 AMD, resulting in a new rate of 143.7 AMD instead of 139 AMD.
However, socially vulnerable consumers continue to pay a rate of 100 AMD per cubic meter, thanks to subsidies provided by the government.
