Aliyev Has Departed for Turkey

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today departed for Turkey, where he was welcomed at the airport by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to Azerbaijani media reports, Aliyev and Erdoğan will participate in the inauguration of a residential neighborhood in the city of Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.

It is noteworthy that a devastating earthquake occurred in Kahramanmaraş in 2023, leading to the collapse of numerous residential buildings.

Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech during the opening ceremony of the 'Azerbaijani Neighborhood' in Kahramanmaraş. He stated, 'The Azerbaijani people perceived this tragedy, the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, as their own tragedy.'

Additionally, it is important to mention that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed that he will visit Turkey on June 20.
