We Hope That Both Baku and Yerevan Understand These Risks - Zakharova
NATO does not present anything good in terms of security in the South Caucasus. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a press briefing, commenting on the Azerbaijan-NATO close cooperation.
“On the contrary, the main goal of the Westerners is to undermine the situation in the region and create new centers of tension. We hope that both Baku and Yerevan equally understand our justified concerns in this regard and fully realize the risks of deepening cooperation with aggressive military alliances,” she said.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Russia hopes that the South Caucasus countries will approach participation in joint exercises with NATO with restraint and criticism, as they destabilize the region.
