Iran and Russia Have a New Strategic Agreement
The strategic partnership agreement with Russia has been confirmed in Iran. The supervisory authority found no discrepancies with the Constitution. This was announced by the official representative of the Guardian Council of the Constitution of Iran, Hadi Tahan Nazif.
“The draft agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership between Iran and Russia has not been recognized as inconsistent with the Constitution and Islamic law by the Guardian Council after its review,” he wrote on the social platform X.
The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran was earlier ratified by the Iranian parliament. As noted by the official spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, after being approved by the parliament and the Guardian Council of the Constitution of Iran, the agreement will become a ratified document ready for implementation.
According to the document, the parties aim to deepen and expand cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, strengthen collaboration in security and defense, and coordinate activities closely at regional and global levels, which corresponds to a long-term, comprehensive strategic partnership.
