Israel Strikes Beirut Suburbs

Israeli Defense Forces conducted airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Thursday night, just before Eid al-Adha. The Israeli side reported that the target was a Hezbollah drone production facility. Residents were warned to evacuate prior to the strikes.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and President Joseph Aoun have strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as violations of international agreements. The assault occurred under the conditions of a ceasefire that had been in place between Israel and the armed group for the past six months. Hezbollah has not yet commented on the incident.
