Vardan Oskanian's Wife Responds to Pashinyan's Statement

The report by H1 TV regarding the building provided to the organization "First for Children" does not present the story in a complete and accurate way. This was stated by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vardan Oskanian's wife, Nani Oskanian.

“First of all, the building was not provided to me personally, but rather to the organization "First for Children," which is an officially registered charitable organization and is governed by a board of directors. At the time when the organization took responsibility for the building, it was in an unusable condition. The building was fully renovated, equipped, and made functional.

Unfortunately, shortly after, the building suffered serious damage due to a mysterious fire that occurred after midnight. Following the developments in 2018, the organization's governing board decided to temporarily suspend operations, waiting for more stable times. When the authorities requested the return of the building, the board decided to return it to the local authorities.

As for the claim that 120 children were deprived of the opportunity to attend kindergarten, this is highly questionable, considering that across Armenia, especially in the regions, schools and kindergartens are being closed.

It is worth noting that today at the government meeting, it was mentioned that the kindergarten building in Dilijan, provided to Vardan Oskanian’s wife for gratuitous use 19 years ago, which was returned to the community by a peace agreement, will be completely renovated under a subvention program. It has been returned to the community in a dilapidated condition.
