The Director of the NSS Discusses Search Efforts for Missing Persons

The Director of the National Security Service, Armen Abazyan, addressed journalists regarding the meeting between representatives of the commissions dealing with missing persons from Armenia and Azerbaijan. He stated that the fate of missing individuals and potential search operations were discussed: “An agreement has been reached that these efforts will be ongoing. I view this meeting positively. We are particularly interested in achieving results as soon as possible. I cannot say whether we will see results tomorrow, in five days, in a month, or in a year, but we are doing everything possible to move in that direction,” he mentioned.

Abazyan did not specify when search operations would enter Azerbaijani territories. According to him, there is a preliminary agreement to carry out joint search operations.
