If We Want, We Can Create Nuclear Weapons: Iran
If we want, we can undoubtedly create nuclear weapons; however, no such order has been given to us so far, stated Abbas, the former head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization.
“We have the capability to develop nuclear weapons. I say this with complete confidence. Why? Because we have an excellent command of nuclear calculations. We produce neutron detectors domestically. Certainly, our potential today is several times greater than in 2002-2003. Even our enemies have tried to thwart our progress by eliminating some scientists, including Shahid Shahriari, a genius in nuclear calculations. Over a decade, he has trained more than 500 individuals. Even if just 50 of them follow in his footsteps, that’s already significant.”
“So far, no one has given an order for creation. But if such an order is given, we will do it. When asked how long it would take, there is no precise answer. It depends on the conditions, decisions, and infrastructure. Minor changes in certain areas, the use of uranium enriched to 90%, application of methods such as lasers and electromagnetism—all of this is possible. We have the capability to create it if a corresponding decision is made,” he added.
