Zelensky Announces Third Phase of Prisoner Exchange

On May 25, the third phase of the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine will take place. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Telegram channel.

"The issue is that absolutely everyone currently held in Russia should be released. This is a joint effort by intelligence agencies, diplomats, and the entire state," said Zelensky.

He emphasized that 697 Ukrainians have already been released within two days. The exchange occurred as part of the agreements reached in Istanbul.

It is noteworthy that during the negotiations held in Istanbul on May 16, the parties agreed on a prisoner exchange formula of 1000 for 1000.
