It Is Known How Much of the Gaza Strip Is Controlled by Israel

The Israeli army effectively controls 77% of the territory of the Gaza Strip. This information was reported by the press service of the Palestinian government.

“The Israeli occupation army has established effective control over 77% of the total territory of the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.

It was noted that Israel has achieved this through ground incursions and the deployment of its forces in residential areas, as well as as a result of a “discriminatory policy of forced displacement,” which compels Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip under the threat of physical annihilation.

The authorities of the Gaza Strip have called on the UN, the organization's Security Council, and the International Criminal Court to take urgent action “to prevent these crimes and initiate an independent international investigation into them.”
