4 Citizens Enter Azerbaijani Territory via Khudaferin Bridge

Four Iranian citizens have entered Azerbaijani territory through the Khudaferin Bridge. The Azerbaijani State Border Service reported suspicious activity in the area of the Khudaferin Bridge.

According to the Azerbaijani side, four unidentified individuals from Iran crawled onto the bridge, which is located in Azerbaijani territory, and began excavating its support section. It was noted that the Azerbaijani State Border Service quickly arrived at the scene. At the same time, the Iranian side was notified of the incident.

As border guards approached, one of the offenders jumped into the Araks River while the other three attempted to flee but were apprehended within Iranian territory. According to Iranian sources, all arrested individuals are Iranian citizens.

Search operations are underway involving both sides to locate the individual who jumped into the Araks River. Investigative actions are being conducted regarding the incident. A video has also been released.
