Driving Test Can Be Retaken the Next Day for a Fee
The government has decided that individuals will be able to retake the driving license test the next day for an additional fee. This decision was made during the Armenian government's session today.
Arpine Sargsyan, the Minister of Internal Affairs, stated that currently, there is a standard service available for a fee, such as the expedited procedure to obtain a passport or identification card. Now, the ministry proposes to apply the same mechanism for both theoretical and practical driving license exams.
"If a person receives a negative evaluation on both the theoretical and practical tests, they can only retake the test one week later. We have received numerous requests where individuals indicate that they would be willing to retake the exam the following day for a certain fee," Sargsyan informed.
The ministry is suggesting that if a person wishes to retake the exam the next day, the additional fee will be 45,000 AMD, and if on the third day, it will be 30,000 AMD.
"This is an additional opportunity for Armenian citizens. The standard waiting period for retaking tests remains at 7 days; however, if a person has the capacity to utilize this additional service for a fee, we are leaving this legal option available," the minister announced.
In another change, if the standard retake period (second retake) is one month later, there will also be specific timeframes set. If a person receives a negative evaluation again after a month, they will be able to retake the test on the 7th and 14th days. Further details can be found in the video.
