Major Accident on Ijevan-Dilijan Highway: Casualties Reported

A significant accident has occurred on the Ijevan-Dilijan highway, near the beginning of Teghut village, where a Mercedes-Benz vehicle veered off the roadway, rolled over, and came to rest on the roadside. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The crisis management center of the Tavush regional rescue department received a call about the incident at 15:10. A firefighting and rescue unit from the ministry's regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

Before the rescuers arrived, the driver and six passengers were extracted from the vehicle by local residents and were transported to a medical center. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s battery and closed the gas tank valve.
