Restrictions Imposed at Airports in Russia
Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been imposed at the airports in Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by Artem Korenyako, a representative of Rosaviatsiya, on his Telegram channel.
“Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been introduced at Nizhny Novgorod airports to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights,” he wrote.
Usually, such restrictions are imposed due to the threat of attacks by drones from the Ukrainian armed forces. Previously, the Yaroslavl airport had suspended operations on March 11, while Nizhny Novgorod did so on March 19.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of April 16, 26 Ukrainian drones were detected and destroyed over Russian territories.
