Russia Undergoes Massive Drone Attack
Russian air defense systems have destroyed 115 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian armed forces across the country within one night. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense's press service on its official Telegram channel.
The overwhelming majority of the drones—109—were intercepted in the airspace of the Kursk region. Three additional drones were destroyed in the Voronezh region. One drone was shot down in the airspace of the Oryol and Bryansk regions, as well as in the vicinity of the capital.
The agency clarified that the Ukrainian armed forces used aviation-type drones for the attacks. Earlier, the Kursk regional government reported a massive drone attack on Kursk, resulting in the death of an elderly woman and injuries to nine others. Fires broke out in several apartment buildings and private homes, and an ambulance vehicle was also damaged, affecting 11 cars.
The Ukrainian armed forces attempt to target boundary and central regions of Russia almost daily with drone strikes. Air defense forces have been intercepting enemy aircraft.
Anti-terrorist operation modes have been implemented in the Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions. The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the Russian claims. Both sides deny targeting civilian populations.
