Zelensky Appeals to the West

Zelensky Appeals to the West

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asserts that Russia is allegedly intent on continuing the conflict and is not interested in peace, which is why he has called on the West to increase pressure on Moscow. He made this statement in his video address.

According to him, “There is no fear in Moscow now.” Zelensky believes that without pressure from Kyiv's allies, military operations will continue, as this is purportedly a “Russian state habit.”

“Peace is necessary and must be long-lasting. That’s why Ukraine is always constructively working with partners in all formats that can ensure security and restore peace,” says Zelensky.

Previously, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed opposition to negotiations with Russia, stating that Kyiv “cannot trust” Moscow. At the same time, Zelensky has deemed the desire of the U.S. to remain neutral in the conflict as a mistake. According to the Ukrainian leader, the narratives from the Trump administration were “dominated by Russian stories.”
