US to Initiate "High-Level" Negotiations with Iran, Trump
US President Donald Trump welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House on Monday. This was their second meeting at the White House during Trump's presidency, which has spanned four months. Netanyahu was the first leader to be received by Trump in the Oval Office after he assumed office.
In response to reporters' questions after the meeting, Trump stated that the two leaders had a "wonderful discussion" regarding topics including Iran and international trade. Trump emphasized that the United States will engage in "direct negotiations" with Iran concerning its nuclear program. He added that the discussions will commence on Saturday and will be conducted at a high level.
