Iran Promises Tough Response

The Iranian side will respond to any external threat with a tough and immediate response from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, said the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, at a press conference on Monday.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened with "unprecedented bombings" if the United States and Iran do not reach an agreement during an interview with NBC News.

"We are ready for any developments, and over the last five decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people have taken sufficient steps to strengthen their defense capabilities to withstand any aggression with full confidence and determination," he stated.
