Iran Prepares Missiles Amid U.S. Tensions: Tehran Times

The Iranian armed forces have prepared missiles capable of striking positions associated with the U.S., following threats from President Donald Trump to bomb Iran if a new nuclear agreement is not reached. This was reported by Tehran Times.

According to the publication, the ready-to-launch missiles are located in underground facilities dispersed throughout the country and are designed to withstand airstrikes.

On March 31, Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran and impose secondary tariffs if Tehran does not negotiate an agreement with Washington concerning its nuclear program.

Tehran has declared that it will not conduct direct negotiations with the U.S. under conditions of maximum pressure and threats of the use of force.

During his first presidential term in 2018, Trump withdrew Washington from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), made in 2015 between Iran and several major powers (the U.S., UK, France, Russia, China, Germany, and the European Union), and reinstated sanctions against Tehran. In response, Iran has gradually begun to abandon its commitments under the nuclear agreement.
