Armenia's Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has responded to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense statement claiming that from the evening of April 6 until 04:30 on April 7, Armenian Armed Forces units fired at Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern border areas. This statement does not reflect reality, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

“We remind that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to establish a joint mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or related information between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond,” the statement continues. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirms that it is ready to investigate the facts supporting Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense's statement, provided they are communicated to Armenia.
