Gunfire at the Armenian-Azerbaijani Border is Unaimed, Says Deputy Minister
Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan has addressed the gunfire reported near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. “The situation is relatively stable at the moment. The gunfire you referenced is not aimed, it is unaddressed fire, and I can say it is limited,” said Sargsyan.
He noted that the Ministry of Defense provides information as quickly and objectively as possible should an issue arise. “If such a problem occurs, the Ministry of Defense will announce it,” added the Deputy Minister.
In response to comments from residents claiming that the gunfire has intensified and increased in number and range, Sargsyan stated, “The armed forces are performing their duties within their powers, and, of course, ensuring security is the priority at this time. I would like to reiterate that the situation on the frontline is relatively stable, and if any issue arises, we will provide information immediately.”
