Armenia's Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The press release from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense indicating that on April 18 at approximately 22:35, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern section of the border is not accurate. This was stated by Armenia's Ministry of Defense.

“We remind that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding such incidents, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond,” the statement noted.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reiterated that in line with the position of the Prime Minister's Office, it is ready to investigate the facts supporting the statement from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, provided they are shared with Armenia.
