Armenia's Defense Ministry Denies Allegations

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, claiming that Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern border area from 13:55 to 14:05 on April 2, does not correspond with reality. This was announced by the Armenian Defense Ministry.

“We remind that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to create a joint mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violation and/or information related to such violations, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that it is ready to investigate the facts corroborating the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, should they be provided to Armenia,” the statement reads.
