Casualties and Injuries: Israel Strikes Beirut Suburb

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced an airstrike on a stronghold of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah in the Dahiya suburb of Beirut. This information was confirmed by the IDF and the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet).

The target of the attack in the Lebanese capital was a senior Hezbollah official. The joint statement does not disclose the official’s name, but it mentions his communications with the Palestinian Hamas terrorist organization. "He recently assisted them in planning a significant terrorist attack against Israeli civilians, which was to take place shortly," the statement said, emphasizing that the military had taken measures to eliminate him and neutralize the threat.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least three people have been reported dead and there are injuries following the strike.
