IDF Strikes New Blows Against Hezbollah
The Israeli military has launched new strikes against the Shiite group Hezbollah in Lebanon. This is reported by the army's press service.
“Currently, the Israel Defense Forces are targeting Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon; further details will be provided,” the statement said.
This is the second wave of strikes in Lebanese territory since the start of the day. During the first wave, according to the army's press service, dozens of targets were struck, including Hezbollah's missile sites and the command center coordinating the group's armed operations in the south of the republic.
According to the Israeli side, the strikes are in response to shelling from Lebanon. In the morning, the army reported that several shells had been fired toward the Israeli border town of Metula, three of which were intercepted successfully. This marks the first time Israeli northern areas have been shelled since November 2024, when a ceasefire agreement was reached at the Lebanon-Israel border.
