Over 590 Dead and More than 1000 Injured in Gaza over 3 Days

The death toll from Israeli strikes that commenced on Tuesday in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 590, with over 1,000 people injured, reports the Gaza government’s news service.

“From the dawn of March 18, 2025, until now, the Israeli occupation army has carried out dozens of raids in various regions of the Gaza Strip... As a result, 591 Palestinians have been killed and 1,042 injured,” the report stated.

On Tuesday night, the Israel Defense Forces resumed their assaults on the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attacks would continue as Hamas refused to accept the U.S. plan for extending the ceasefire and releasing hostages.

A member of the political bureau of Hamas, Izzat al-Rishq, mentioned that Netanyahu's decision to return to war signifies a death sentence for Israeli hostages in Gaza.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas officially ended on March 1; however, fighting had not resumed due to mediators' attempts to engage both sides in ongoing negotiations for a settlement in Gaza.

Nevertheless, Israel has halted electricity supply to Gaza’s desalination plant and closed the entry for humanitarian aid trucks into the Gaza Strip.
