The US Does Not Want Closer Ties Between These Two Countries, Trump

The US does not desire further rapprochement between Russia and China but expects an improvement in relations with both countries. This was stated by US President Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News.

The American leader emphasized that he “does not want Russia and China to merge.”

“We seek to improve relationships with both countries. I think Chinese President Xi Jinping would like to improve relations, and I believe Russia wants to improve relations with the United States as well. I also think we are a very different country than just a few months ago. Now we are a respected country. We were not respected. We had incompetent leadership. Now Russia and China may be friends, but we will be friends with both countries,” said the head of state.
