Two Unresolved Issues Remain: Turkey Addresses Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
The Vice President and spokesperson of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party, Omar Celik, has commented on the normalization process of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the recent joint statement.
He noted that there are still two unresolved issues: the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and the amendments to be made to the Constitution and laws of Armenia. “It is extremely important for Armenia to change the laws or certain articles of the Constitution that are directed against Azerbaijan. It is time to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group, which has been established for years to resolve this issue but has complicated it instead and no longer has a mission. Henceforth, when all these steps are taken, the process of normalization between Turkey and Armenia will gain momentum, benefiting all the peoples of the region. Peace in the Caucasus will be advantageous,” he stated.
